The short version
- This site does not collect your email. Creating an account happens in the app, under its own privacy policy.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which link sent you here.
- We use PostHog to see which pages and buttons on this site get used, so we can tell what persuades and what gets ignored. It works only for us, never for advertising. It sets one cookie (name beginning
ph_) so that reading about ClassDocket here and then using the app are recognised as one visit rather than two strangers. From 19 August 2026 it also records replays of how visitors move through these pages; every word on this site is our own copy, there is nothing here to type, and recordings are deleted within 30 days. - We advertise on TikTok and on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and both of their pixels are on this site. They tell TikTok and Meta that a page loaded and that someone clicked through to the app, so we can tell which ads work. Each uses that for its own advertising. You can opt out, and the section below says how.
- We never sell your information for money. This site never sends TikTok or Meta your email address, because it never asks for one. The app does send a scrambled, one-way copy when you sign up, described in its own privacy policy.
- Ask us to delete your information and we will, no questions asked.
If you joined our waitlist
ClassDocket ran a waitlist before the product opened. That form is gone. The product is live, so there is nothing to wait for. We are telling you about it anyway because we still hold the addresses people gave us, and a disclosure that disappears the moment a form does is not a disclosure.
If you joined, we hold your email address, the date you submitted it, and the fact that it came from this site, stored in our database and in Loops, the service we use to send email. We use it only to email you about ClassDocket. Every email has an unsubscribe link, unsubscribing removes you for good, and you can ask us to delete the record outright at any time using the contact address below.
While the form was running we recorded a one-way cryptographic hash of the IP address each submission came from, with a timestamp, purely to rate-limit repeat submissions. We never stored raw IP addresses from the form, and a hash cannot be turned back into the address it came from.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which page they land on, and which link or ad brought them. Google Analytics sets cookies (their names begin with _ga) and receives a randomly generated identifier for your browser, the pages you view, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type.
We have deliberately left Google's advertising features off. We do not use Google Analytics to build advertising profiles, and we do not run Google remarketing against you.
ClassDocket's app at app.classdocket.com uses the same analytics property, so a visit that starts here and continues into the app is counted as one visit instead of two. Nothing you write, upload, or generate inside the app is ever sent to analytics. See the full product privacy policy for how your course materials are handled.
We also use PostHog, a product analytics service, to see how this site itself gets used: which pages people read, which buttons and links they click, and where they lose interest. PostHog receives a randomly generated identifier, the pages you view, the buttons and links you click, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. It processes all of that only on our behalf, and it does not use it for its own purposes. It sets one cookie (its name begins with ph_), holding a random identifier and where you first arrived from. That cookie is the reason reading about ClassDocket on this site and then using the app count as one visit instead of two unrelated strangers, which is the only way we can tell whether this page actually persuades anyone. Clearing this site's cookies removes it, and blocking it costs you nothing. This changed on 19 August 2026: PostHog previously kept that identifier in local storage, which does not carry across to the app, and this paragraph said so.
Also from 19 August 2026, we record session replays of this site: a reconstruction of how a visitor moves through these pages, meaning scrolling, mouse movement, and clicks. Every word on the screen in such a replay is our own marketing copy, because that is all this site contains: it has no text field, so a replay cannot capture anything you typed, and it never includes anything from inside the app, whose replays are governed by the app privacy policy and mask all text. We keep recordings for no longer than 30 days, and you can ask us to delete yours at the address below. An earlier version of this page said we did not record this site's screen; as with every tracker before it, we rewrote this page first and switched the recording on second.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics does not affect anything on this site.
Advertising: the TikTok and Meta Pixels, and how to opt out
We advertise ClassDocket on TikTok and on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To know whether an ad actually worked, we run the TikTok Pixel and the Meta Pixelon this site and in the app. They report two things: that a page was loaded, and that someone clicked through to the app. Each sets its own cookies (TikTok's names begin with _ttp; Meta's are _fbp, and _fbc if you arrived from a Meta ad) and receives a randomly generated identifier for your browser, the page address, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type.
What we never send TikTok or Meta from this site: your email address, your phone number, or anything you type, upload, or generate inside the app. This site has no sign-up form and never learns your email address, so it has none to send. The app is different: when you create an account there, a one-way scrambled copy of your email address is sent with the signup so the ad that caused it gets credit. The app privacy policy describes that in full, including how to opt out. Both platforms also offer a feature that scrapes contact details off the page and sends them along. We keep it switched off for both, and for Meta we switch it off in this site's own code rather than relying only on a setting in their dashboard.
This is not the same as Google Analytics, and we would rather say so. Google processes analytics data for us, on our behalf. TikTok and Meta each use what their pixel reports for their own advertising purposes. California law calls that sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands, so the right to opt out is real, and we honor it for everyone, not just California residents.
To opt out, either block or delete advertising cookies in your browser settings, or email us at the address below with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” We will honor it. Opting out does not affect anything on this site.
What changed, and when. Until 6 August 2026 this policy said we ran no ad-platform pixels at all, and that we did not share data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Adding the TikTok Pixel made both of those statements untrue, so we rewrote them before switching it on rather than after. On 18 August 2026 we added the Meta Pixel and rewrote this page again, in the same order: the disclosure first, the pixel second. On 19 August 2026 we switched on session replay for this site, in that same order once more: this page was rewritten first, the recording switched on second.
Who else touches this data
We keep the list short, and this is all of it:
- Railway: hosts this site and its database.
- Cloudflare: DNS and network protection in front of the site.
- Loops: sends email to people who joined the waitlist while it was running.
- Google Analytics: traffic measurement, described above.
- PostHog: measurement of how this site itself gets used, described above. Acts only on our behalf.
- TikTok: advertising measurement, described above. Unlike most of this list, TikTok is not acting only on our behalf; it uses what it receives for its own advertising, which is why you get an opt-out.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): advertising measurement, described above. Like TikTok and unlike the rest of this list, Meta uses what it receives for its own advertising, which is why the same opt-out covers it.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or ClassDocket.
How long we keep it
Waitlist addresses collected before the form was retired are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. The hashed rate-limiting records are short-lived. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention setting. Since this site no longer collects email, nothing new is being added to any of these.
Your choices
Email us at [email protected] and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You do not need to live in a particular state or country to ask, and we will not make you jump through hoops or sit through a retention pitch to do it.
Depending on where you live, you may also have formal rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to appeal a refusal. We honor those requests through the same address.
Children
ClassDocket is built for law students and is intended for adults. This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted an email address, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes, and how to reach us
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and move the effective date above. Material changes to how we use addresses collected by the retired waitlist will be announced by email before they take effect.
